While Josef Sandner’s Isana was not related to Fasan and Alosa, these brands to carry some similarities. Around the early 60’s he’d be building solid body guitars too.Įlvis Presley had a black, no-pickup, Isana archtop when he was drafted in Germany, but later fitted an “Ideal” pickup himself. Most of them where sans pickups at the time, but later on pickups where attached to the neck and eventually on the body itself as well.

Dimensions:- 41' tall by 16' across the widest part of body and 4 1/2' deep. 'Tortoise shell' celluloid pick guard and green on gold 'Egmond Freres' label in sound body. Headstock shows 'Egmond' logo and the 'EG' badge with serial number on reverse. All original condition, with tobacco sunburst finish. Here We have a 1950's vintage 'Egmond freres' dreadnaught guitar. The serial number is found on the back of the headstock.
Dean guitars made in the USA follow a serial number pattern consisting of a 7 digit number with the first 2 numbers being the year of manufacture, followed by instrument production numbers.
